Committees

The Board of Directors consists of three members and manages the business affairs of the foundation. The members carry out their duties on a voluntary, unpaid basis.

The Board of Directors administers the foundation's assets, resolves on the use of income, sets the budget plan and draws up the annual financial statements.

The Board of Trustees of the Heinz Kühn Foundation currently consists of 12 members. The members carry out their duties on a voluntary, unpaid basis.

At the annual meeting, the members decide, among other matters, on the award of scholarships. In addition, the Board of Trustees advises and oversees the Board of Directors and, as an independent body, monitors compliance with the foundation's stated purpose.

The chairmanship of the Board of Trustees is held by the Minister-President of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. This position is currently held by Minister-President Hendrik Wüst.
